What is your role within the Foundation?

My role is to lead the Foundation, which means coordinating and facilitating the implementation of all the initiatives we support.

Why did you take on this role?

After several years working in textile procurement, during which I visited factories all over the world, I realised that I had been born on the right side of the planet.

I needed to bring a human and responsible dimension to my work. Personally, I feel a deep need for meaning, humanity and responsibility. That is how I became the Group’s CSR Manager in 2015 and have been supporting the Foundation since its inception. For me, the On Seniors’ Side Foundation is a natural extension of our business, and I believe it is a tremendous driver of motivation, pride, the search for meaning and the creation of synergy amongst us.

How are the Group’s employees involved?

The On Seniors’ Side Foundation is aimed at all Damartex employees, across their diverse cultures and roles. It offers them the opportunity to get involved in projects that benefit older people and to foster the kindness, respect, empathy and passion that form the bedrock of our brands’ values.

What role can they play within the On Seniors’ Side Foundation?

They can submit projects, suggest support for certain charities, sponsor a project, contribute financially or offer their expertise. We also need representatives in our Business Units. All employees who wish to help shape the Foundation’s future and work to bring a smile back to the faces of older people are welcome.
