Why did you become a representative for your business unit? What motivates you?

When I joined Damart in 2018, working in the Communications department, I wanted to get involved in a different way to support our customers.

Presenting projects to the steering committee and sharing ideas with colleagues from other departments and other brands within the group is a great source of motivation for keeping the foundation alive.

And the contact with the charities is so rewarding!

What is your role as Damart France’s liaison officer?

As the point of contact for Damart France employees who wish to propose a project, present a charity or become a sponsor, I monitor these projects, pass them on a

nd debrief the sponsors following the steering committee’s decisions.

I communicate the successes (sponsored projects) and the foundation’s impact through departmental meetings, posters and videos on screens at the various sites.

Do you have a story to share with us about the foundation?

I attended a presentation by the charity Un Toit à Partager during a foundation committee meeting. I mentioned this project to a friend from Lille who was looking for accommodation for her son, a student in Arras. Two months later, a pairing was formed: Martin moved in with Maurice!
