2022 was marked by a strengthened commitment to the most vulnerable seniors, an acceleration of employment partnerships, and the deployment of innovative medical solutions, from France to Tunisia, including the United Kingdom.

➤ Inclusion, Employment, and Mentoring

Duo for a Job: Intergenerational Mentoring (Association: Duo for a Job)

Damart actively supports this association, which pairs young people from diverse backgrounds with mentors over 50. In 2022, the Roubaix offices opened their doors to participants to introduce them to the company's various roles. This partnership values the skills of seniors while facilitating access to employment for young people.

La Cravate Solidaire: Second-hand clothing and social inclusion (Association: La Cravate Solidaire)

This association fights against discrimination in hiring based on appearance. The Foundation funded 80 "Boost Training" courses for unemployed seniors, while its staff collected 43 kg of professional clothing to help candidates succeed in their interviews.

Focus 4 Hope: Supporting the Most Vulnerable (Association: Focus 4 Hope)

In the United Kingdom, this association helps homeless and isolated seniors in West Yorkshire. Thanks to the efforts of the Damart UK marketing teams, gifts and essential items were distributed at a Christmas fundraising event to bring some comfort to the most vulnerable.

➤ Medical Innovation and Health

Medimoov Kiosk: Playful Physiotherapy (Association: Partage et Vie Foundation)

The "Le Nouvel Horizon" facility in Douai has acquired a Medimoov kiosk. This controller-free video game console uses sensors to playfully work on mobility and cognitive functions. A valuable tool to encourage residents to be active while having fun.

Dementia Connect: Supporting People Facing Dementia (Association: Alzheimer Society)

This support service, available 7 days a week in the UK, has provided personalized advice to 1,000 people living with dementia and their families. From adapting their homes to offering emotional support, Dementia Connect is a cornerstone for navigating the challenges of dementia.

Screening and Paramedical Equipment in Tunisia (Associations: ATUGER and APPA)

The Foundation funded a bone densitometer in Sfax to help prevent osteoporosis in people over 50. At the same time, the APPA association provided medical equipment (wheelchairs, beds, blood pressure monitors) to more than 150 seniors in precarious situations.

➤ Social and Intergenerational Connection

L’Olivier des Sages: Cooking and Transmission (Association: L’Olivier des Sages)

In Lyon, this association supports seniors, particularly those from immigrant backgrounds, through a solidarity grocery store and cooking workshops. The Foundation funded a professional dishwasher to enhance these opportunities for interaction where young and old cook and share their life experiences.

Kissing it Better: Celebrations and Conviviality (Association: KiB)

The Coopers brand partnered with the KiB association to organize festive events, such as a large Easter egg hunt bringing together grandchildren and grandparents. The goal is to strengthen the local community and combat isolation through shared leisure activities.

Building Family Across Distances (Association: EGPE)

Participation in the European Grandparents School symposium on the theme of geographical distance. The discussions highlighted how new digital tools and creativity allow grandparents to maintain an active role (games, homework, sharing secrets) even remotely.

➤ Living Space Improvements

A Therapeutic Garden in Cysoing (Association: Résidence de la Pévèle)

Inauguration of a new, modern nursing home (EHPAD) merging two former facilities. The Foundation funded the creation of an activity and sensory garden. This safe pathway allows residents to engage in adapted physical activity while enjoying a shared vegetable and orchard garden.

Note: For 2022, the initiatives demonstrate a commitment to addressing all areas: from the social emergency at Christmas to the development of long-term healthcare solutions.
