Accompanied by Marie Decaudin (Group Compliance & Risk Director at Damartex and the project’s patron), the Foundation visited the gourmet restaurant Solange in Lille. The goal of the day? To share a special moment with residents of the Saint-Antoine de Padoue care home and their caregivers, as part of our partnership with the association Étoilés & Solidaires.
Stepping out of the daily routine: rediscovering the pleasure of dining out

For most of us, going to a restaurant is an everyday occurrence. But for seniors living in care facilities, it often represents the week's only major outing.
By funding the initiatives of *Étoilés & Solidaires*, our Foundation supports the organization of "bistronomic" and gourmet meals designed to rekindle a love for fine food. Dressing up, stepping out of their usual surroundings, and sitting together at a beautifully set table contributes to the well-being of our seniors.
Smiles and stories
Beyond the exceptional cuisine, this charitable lunch offered a special interlude filled with warm conversation and moments of genuine connection:

Mr. René, resident: > "It was really great! Will I come back? Oh yes, it’s wonderful—it’s a complete break from the daily routine!"
Renée, wife of Alain (a resident): > "It is so heartening to see that it’s still possible to get out a bit. To me, the care home can sometimes feel like being shut away... It does a world of good to see them being cared for in a different way and to feel like we’re living a normal life again."
Jessica Martin Dugast, President and Founder of Étoilés & Solidaires: > "A huge thank you to the On Seniors' Side Foundation for giving us the means to bring our association’s mission to life on a daily basis, and especially here in Lille."

A huge thank you to the Étoilés & Solidaires association for its infectious energy, to the teams at the Saint-Antoine de Padoue care home, and to the team at the Solange restaurant for their warm welcome!
