Supporting life to the very end: our Foundation alongside Voisins & Soins

Our On Seniors Side Foundation supports projects that tangibly improve the quality of life for seniors. Among them is the Voisins & Soins association, which is committed to providing end-of-life care at home.
A shared observation: beyond care, the need for connection
In France, the provision of palliative care remains unevenly distributed, particularly at home. While technical and medical care exists, one need often remains insufficiently met: that of human support.
The end of life is not simply about medical care. It remains a stage of life, with its relational, emotional, and social needs. Maintaining these dimensions is essential, especially for elderly people who often face isolation.
This is precisely the approach taken by Voisins & Soins (Neighbors & Care), and this is why we support it: the association provides in-home support to seriously ill or terminally ill individuals and supports caregivers, thanks to a team of trained volunteers, healthcare professionals, and psychologists. Whether in private homes or in nursing homes, their presence complements that of the patient's care team to ensure consistent and continuous care.

The challenge: to mobilize civil society to recreate connections around people at the end of their lives, and to ensure that no one goes through these moments alone.
What the Foundation's support has made possible
Our support has focused on two key areas:
1. Strengthening volunteer training
Each volunteer receives 30 hours of training before beginning to provide support. This commitment requires a solid, structured, and professional framework.
The association has been able to strengthen and improve this system. The quality of the training has also been recognized by the SFAP-CNAM unit, a national reference in palliative care for volunteer caregivers.
2. Developing psychological support
The partnership has also made it possible to consolidate psychological support for people at the end of life and their caregivers.
In a context where mental health is a national priority, this support helps to defuse situations of anxiety, prevent burnout among caregivers, and provide professional support during particularly sensitive times.
A partnership consistent with our DNA
We have a holistic vision of aging well. Supporting Voisins & Soins means extending this mission: supporting seniors in all aspects of their daily lives, including during their most vulnerable times.
Beyond financial support, this partnership also opens up opportunities for on-the-ground cooperation (provision of training rooms, internal awareness campaigns, etc.).
Because in “end of life,” there is first and foremost “life.”
