The Foundation, accompanied by Marie-Pierre Bouchahdane (Legal Manager at Damartex and a committed patron of this project), had the immense pleasure of visiting Douai for the inauguration of a brand-new space for community and connection: a permanent "Bistrot Bertha."

A festive inauguration

The event lived up to all expectations. The program featured card games, a raffle, drinks, and a shared meal in a joyful atmosphere. It brought together residents, their families, care staff, and many local neighbors, perfectly illustrating the association's goal: to rebuild

strong ties within the local community and break the daily isolation experienced by seniors.

We celebrated the opening of this establishment, but the project funded by the Foundation is a mobile bistro in Indre-et-Loire. Rather than a stationary café, it is a genuine traveling bistro.

Heading to Indre-et-Loire: The imminent deployment of the Bertha Mobile

Co-founded by Antoine Gérard and Louis Dereux, the "Bertha Mobile" concept is set to hit the road in the Indre-et-Loire region in a few weeks. This mobile unit will make regular rounds among six partner nursing homes, delivering four themed visits per year to each facility. The goal, shared with the project’s patron, is to bring that same magic, laughter, and human warmth directly into local communities, bringing it right to seniors.
