A few months ago, we partnered with the association Les Amis de l’EHPAD du Val de Loue for the launch of the “Silverfit Alois” project. This is a physical and cognitive stimulation tool specifically designed for seniors (particularly those with Alzheimer’s). Today, we are delighted to share the progress of this wonderful initiative.
Here’s a look back at an emotionally rich experience with Stéphanie Gradoz, the project’s sponsor.
The device, delivered in July and put into service in August, is an interactive system using a camera and a touchscreen to offer adapted physical and recreational exercises. It allows users to:
Perform personalized motor and cognitive exercises.
Calm agitation through visual and auditory content.
Rebuild social connections between residents, caregivers, and families.
Testimonial: A day immersed with Stéphanie Gradoz, the project's sponsor.
As an employee of the Damartex group and sponsor of this initiative, she visited the facility to observe the use of the device. She was able to share special moments with the 14 residents benefiting from it.
"I was able to participate in a sports session. On the agenda: memory games, mental math exercises, and even dancing before snack time," she explains.
She emphasizes the immediate impact of the device on the unit's atmosphere: the music promotes group cohesion and generates feelings of joy and accomplishment.
Concrete and encouraging results
After a few months of use (approximately three times a week), the care teams are already noticing significant progress:

Renewed sociability: Some residents who previously never left their rooms now come out to participate in the sessions.
Visible calming effect: At the end of the day, the projection of relaxing images, such as an aquarium or a fireplace, helps to soothe behavioral disturbances.
Increased autonomy: While some still require assistance, others are beginning to perform the exercises independently, thus boosting their self-confidence.
The care team received comprehensive training to master all the functionalities of the Silverfit. Today, the device is fully integrated into the unit's care plan.
The Foundation's Commitment
By supporting this type of initiative, the On Seniors' Side Foundation reaffirms its mission: to encourage seniors' activities to improve their well-being and foster social connections. We are proud to support the Val de Loue nursing home in this digital transformation that puts people first.
It is a great source of pride to see this project fulfilling its mission: stimulating cognitive abilities while generating connection and well-being.
