Supported Project: The Table for Our Elders & Invite a Senior to Lunch

Founded by two-Michelin-starred chef Michel Sarran, Starred & United is an association that mobilizes a collective of committed chefs (Michelin-starred chefs, Meilleur Ouvrier de France recipients, Top Chef contestants, and restaurateurs with a social mission) to put gastronomy back at the service of social connection. Their mission: to make meals a moment of emotion and sharing, accessible to everyone, especially isolated seniors.

When gastronomy brings generations together

Our foundation is pleased to support the project “The Table for Our Elders & Invite a Senior to Lunch,” an initiative that allows isolated seniors and their companions (young people in intergenerational co-housing, family caregivers, or healthcare professionals) to share a convivial and gastronomic moment in a partner restaurant in their region.

Thanks to the involvement of talented and caring chefs, these meals offer much more than a culinary experience: they create a genuine space for intergenerational connection, listening, and sharing.

A nationally coordinated organization

To facilitate the project's implementation throughout France, the association has developed a digital platform for social coordinators in partner facilities (independent living residences, respite care centers, sheltered housing, etc.). This tool centralizes practical information, ensures logistical support, and collects testimonials, photos, and feedback to showcase the initiatives undertaken.

What is the impact?

Through these initiatives, Étoilés Solidaires combats social isolation among seniors, promotes recognition for caregivers, and encourages intergenerational interaction.

Each meal becomes a moment of shared joy, where gastronomy rhymes with solidarity.
