This project aims to support a new senior living facility in the town of Stolberg (North Rhine-Westphalia). The catastrophic floods of July 14, 2021, severely impacted residents, as well as numerous social service organizations and the municipal administration. In an unprecedented initiative, the municipality and social service providers joined forces to open a meeting place, "The Blue House," on March 10, 2022. This space offers intergenerational support and guidance, as well as opportunities for informal gatherings and exchanges. The project includes a focus on senior citizens, with services such as advice, online access, and cultural and sporting activities.

"The Blue House" is a small facility situated in a large garden, allowing for ample use of the outdoor space in good weather. To enable flexible and functional use, and to create a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere, the foundation funded:

✓The purchase of chairs adapted for seniors.

✓The purchase of virtual reality headsets.

✓The purchase of parasols to allow use of the outdoor areas in good weather.

✓The fees for speakers.
