Association: Temps de Vie

Supported Project: The Augustinian Sisters' "Pot'âgé" (Veterans' Potluck)

The Temps de Vie association mobilizes over 3,000 professionals and volunteers to support more than 10,000 families each year. For over 30 years, it has been working to develop social and health-related services, committed to innovation, local cooperation, and respect for individuals.

Our foundation is pleased to support the "Le Pot'âgé des Augustines" project.

What does the project involve?

Located in the garden of the Saint Augustin Residence in Boulogne-sur-Mer, this project creates around ten accessible vegetable plots for people with reduced mobility (PRM) to allow residents, their families, and members of partner organizations to garden together. The initiative is based on a partnership with the association "Le Tiers-Lieux Nourricier du Boulonnais" and is part of a broader effort to green the Brequerecque neighborhood. Every Friday afternoon (and during school holidays with intergenerational workshops), participants will plant, tend, and harvest fruits and vegetables, which they will then cook in workshops. A recipe book will be published at the end of the year. The project is designed to be accessible to everyone, regardless of their level of mobility, and to create a moment of sharing, conviviality, and knowledge transfer.

Expected Outcomes

  • To promote the well-being of seniors by engaging them in an inclusive outdoor activity.

  • To combat social isolation through intergenerational group activities.

  • To stimulate creativity, motor skills, and curiosity, while giving renewed meaning to action and daily life.

  • To create genuine connections between generations, children and seniors alike, in nature, a garden, and a shared living space.

➤ By supporting this project, our Foundation affirms its commitment to supporting initiatives that empower seniors to be active participants in their lives, while fostering intergenerational connections and strengthening social bonds.
