This assisted living residence welcomes seniors experiencing a loss of autonomy. They are committed to maintaining the independence of their residents by developing activities that stimulate their cognitive, physical, and sensory abilities. It is with this in mind that, through a residents' council where each resident is invited to share and express ideas, the idea of creating a wellness room was proposed.
Supported Project: Caregiver Training
By identifying a "wellness" room within the assisted living residence, residents will be able to enjoy a designated space where shared and individual group activities can take place. Le Clos du Marais is committed to organizing intergenerational workshops to open the residence to the wider community. The provision of this furnished space aims to develop social and relational connections between generations. To this end, workshops will be planned for seniors.
The objective? Overall calming, improved emotional well-being, and pain relief (Snoezelen trolley) for the elderly residents of the facility. The project will promote values of inclusion and tolerance, notably through the implementation of intergenerational workshops with the elderly residents and people with disabilities from the inclusive housing facility La Menuiserie, which belongs to the same group.
