Located in Lyon's 3rd arrondissement, volunteers meet at Olivier des Sages to support seniors (particularly those from immigrant backgrounds) and maintain their social connections. Seniors gather at the Philippe Jeantet Social Café to request administrative assistance and participate in activities organized by the association. A Social & Solidarity Grocery Store has been established to help impoverished seniors. The store provides essential products (food, hygiene, cleaning supplies) with a subsidy of 10 to 30% of the actual cost. It also offers members weekly workshops to inform and educate beneficiaries on budgeting.

Supported Project: When Youth Meets Wisdom

This project involves intergenerational cooking workshops led by dietitians and bringing together around thirty people: 10 young people and 20 seniors. The objective is multifaceted: to raise awareness of balanced nutrition, discover new eating habits and flavors, and strengthen intergenerational bonds. While preparing a meal is a learning experience, it's also an opportunity to share recipes, cravings, and culinary skills. It's a way to connect and build reassuring and meaningful relationships between young and old. These relationships are further strengthened during shared meals, where participants appreciate and discuss the dishes they've prepared. The Foundation funded the purchase of kitchen equipment and supplies to make these workshops possible.
