Why did you decide to become a patron of this project?
“I was immediately drawn to this project. Music has always played a very important role in my life, and even more so today, given my mother’s experience living with Parkinson’s disease. Seeing how much comfort and joy social and cultural activities bring her has really touched me. ”
“When I discovered the organization Les Petits Chemins and their initiative C’est un petit bonheur, I immediately felt that it was something deeply meaningful and humane. It’s the idea of going beyond the walls of a center or a room to offer moments of sharing and togetherness directly in the homes of the most isolated people. And being a mentor allows me to contribute to that, to meet new people, to learn, and to step outside my daily routine.”
What is the “C’est un petit bonheur” project all about?
“It’s a project that brings music, singing, and human connection to places where they’re often no longer present. We send a choir of about 25 singers and musicians—a mix of passionate amateurs and professionals—to visit seniors, people with limited mobility, or those nearing the end of their lives, right in their own homes. ”
“The goal is simple: to break the isolation by offering them musical visits at home. Song is a universal language that touches everyone, revives memories, gives courage, and restores dignity. »
“These are moments when people can not only listen but also share the experience with their loved ones, families, caregivers, and neighbors. This social connection is essential because it fosters genuine interactions, moments of joy, and a sense of togetherness, even when people can no longer go out or participate in activities outside their homes.”
A cause we are proud to support
The “C’est un petit bonheur” project organizes about forty musical visitation afternoons each year, reaching many isolated individuals across several rural areas. Thanks to the support received (including ours), this project can continue to grow. Tablets have been purchased to make it easier to read the songs during visits, and travel expenses have also been covered.
We are very proud to support this initiative!
Thank you to Christine for her dedication, and to all the musicians and volunteers who make this wonderful experience possible
