The association aims to provide material, medical, and moral support to elderly people suffering from kidney failure.

Supported Projects

2021: Fav Saving-Lives

This portable device allows operations to be performed in many regions of Tunisia where hospitals lack surgical equipment. This will save up to 50 kidney failure patients per year, primarily those aged 50 and over, as these patients experience the most difficulties during dialysis sessions and develop life-threatening complications due to the fragility of their blood vessels. The Foundation funded the purchase of this equipment.

2022: Plume

The main objective of this project is to fund a special scale for elderly and/or dependent kidney failure patients. This scale will be installed in the hemodialysis unit of the Nephrology, Dialysis, and Kidney Transplantation Department at Rabta University Hospital. The Foundation funded the purchase of this equipment.

2023: Funding Surgery

This project aims to fund fistula and catheter insertion surgeries for 14 of the most impoverished kidney failure patients, aged 50 and over. These surgeries are not covered by the national social security system. The Foundation is funding the care of these 14 patients.

2024: Challenge for Life

Geriatrics is the medical specialty dedicated to the study and treatment of diseases associated with aging: eye diseases, sensory disorders (visual impairment, deafness), neurological and cognitive disorders (Alzheimer's disease, dementia, etc.), malnutrition, and more. Offering comprehensive patient care, this specialty aims to maintain or restore the independence of elderly individuals.

The project will equip four geriatric units with a monitor, also known as a clinical monitor.

Medical monitoring devices, also called multiparameter monitors, are measuring devices whose primary role is to observe a patient's essential vital signs, such as heart rate, blood pressure, blood oxygen saturation, and respiratory rate.

Depending on the needs of the hospitals, the multiple functionalities of these monitors allow for the medical monitoring of various bodily characteristics.
