Which organization do you sponsor? How did you hear about it?

I learned about the DK Pulse organization from a former colleague at the company. Every year, DK Pulse supports more and more seniors through tailored physical activity programs designed to:

Encourage the resumption of physical activity (targeted muscle strengthening, moderate endurance training, flexibility, coordination, spatial and temporal awareness, relaxation, posture, mobility, self-confidence)

Motivate and guide participants to exercise safely—how and at what intensity—to stay healthy.

Prevent health issues linked to a sedentary lifestyle

Keep seniors healthy

Today, Dk pulse aims to go further by “reaching out” to those furthest from physical activity through the APA Mobiles: “If you don’t come to sports, sports come to you.” The APA Mobiles are buses converted into “mobile gyms,” offering an innovative solution that encourages people to get back into sports.

Why do you support the organization?

As an athlete, I firmly believe in the power of sports and its many benefits. When I discovered that DK Pulse was promoting adapted physical activity for seniors—with the motto, “If you can’t come to the gym, the gym comes to you”—I was immediately drawn to the idea and truly motivated to get involved with the organization. It isn’t always easy for some seniors to get to a gym and have easy access to a sport. These sessions are also a wonderful opportunity to meet people, chat, and build social connections… The idea of reaching out to them and offering them a break through sports really won me over!

In a few words, how does the Foundation help the association?

The Foundation will support the association by funding 10 adapted physical activity (APA) programs. This program involves organizing two 1.5-hour sports sessions per week for two months for each senior. These sessions take place in an “APA mobile” bus in rural communities.

If you could describe your experience with the association in one or two sentences:

A wonderful collaboration is beginning, and I’m truly eager to get involved in this project! I plan to visit the site and check out the “APA mobile” bus and the activities offered.
